Today was Sonia's 2 year physical with Dr. Allison. She is 28 lbs 4 oz and 36 inches tall!
When did that newborn make this transformation? The last 2 years have been an incredible journey...
Talking in full sentences and 100% potty trained. I am so grateful to be home with her and take in all the funny, intelligent and sweet things she says and does.
After talking to her doctor, DH and I decided to have her stay home until she turns 3 and then have her go to 'school'.
Having a healthy happy baby is no small gift and this calls for a celebration. What celebration is complete without food? Inspired by the street vendors in Bombay that serve up the famous 'Rasta Sandwich', today's lunch was a grilled vegetable sandwich, using my new toaster from India. The fillings were all the usual suspects, tomato, onion, cucumber, flavored by cheddar cheese (we indians love our cheddar cheese), butter, salt and pepper.
Serve it up with some Maggi hot & sweet tomato ketchup, and you have one lip smacking lunch in under 15 minutes. It was just as yummy as the stuff you get on the streets of Mumbai....except it made me miss all those sights and sounds that take you back to childhood...
